Let’s Get Moving!
We all know what a scavenger hunt is and we all have enjoyed this activity at one point of our lives. What if we can take this to a new step for an excellent outdoor activity for the older kids and heck some adult? We all know how it works generally with every team/ person getting a paper with a list of items to find within a certain location. This is a very good way to get in your (steps) for the day with a little fun! Our friends and I did this not to long ago and it was a blast and not to mention the laughs we all had at the same time. So without keeping you in suspense let me explain this outdoor activity that made us have all this excitement!
Planning.
First things first figure out a perfect location for this outdoor activity, we simply went to our own yard so no we didn’t have to pack the car and drive anywhere. We then made a mental note of some awsome hidding spots for some objects we would later hide in these locations. Once the objects are hidden in the formentioned locations then its almost ready to play! Now lets get to the twist we added to this already fun activity.
Riddles.
Thats right I said riddles, we added riddles to this to give it a little more of a challenge! Let me give you an example of one idea we did on our (what we call) Riddle me Scavenger Hunt! We chose our mailbox in which we hid some small water balloons which we left a message on with a marker. The riddle was ” sometime people decorate me for the holidays and I sometimes have items left inside. I also will signal that I have something inside that needs to go somewhere, when I do my owners will lift my flag! To the team that found it first collected the water balloons with the message I mentioned prior “pop me over your own head”. We got a good laugh seeing them having to get themselves wet instead of throwing it at someone else like all kids want to do.

Now that we told you how we spent our day doing OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, please enjoy it for yourself. Just sit down and have a good laugh making up the riddles and finding hiding locations for yourself. Hide as many items you feel like in as many locations you would like. Just remember to have FUN!
