Robotics Smart Machines Review.

Thames and Kosmos have several items out on the market that are amazing and a very good product. Kevin and Son chose this particular item because it has not only 1 but 8 total builds included. You will need a tablet or smartphone running IOS or Android to program and operate this robot along with 3 AA batteries (neither supplied with item purchased). This particular item will keep a family or a child (8+ years old) busy for several hours. It gives a sense of accomplishment seeing something come together that not only was built but programmed by yourself. Technology is the way of the future so this was a very inexpensive yet a wonderful learning experience for the young fans. Adults should be prepared to help young children because some programming may be harder to understand than others depending on the robot being programmed. Also, some parts may be harder to assemble than others but overall, it is still an all-around good quality robotic build.

In Conclusion, Thames & Kosmos Robotics Rules!

We loved the whole process from start to finish and seeing our Thames & Kosmos Robot function. It tests your knowledge and imagination the whole way through. These builds are quite a wonderful way to destress and learn all rolled into one ROBOTIC package. These builds are also helping my son progress and improve his grade in Engineering class at school. He is enjoying his extra-curricular class which just so happens to be Robotics and is grasping the material a lot quicker. So please go check out the whole line of Thames & Kosmos line and you will NOT be disappointed. Below is just another example of many bots to build and if you enjoy these as much as we do, please go and leave a review and let us know what you think on these products.

  1. This is a completely new area of technology for me. I have to be honest and say that I had no idea that such things existed prior to reading your article…probably an age thing! But I found it to be fascinating and gave me an idea for a Christmas present for my 9-year-old granddaughter. You say that the kits are suitable for 8+ but do you think it may be wise to leave it a year or two, as some of the processes sounds quite technical? Perhaps you have experience of this. Thank you.

    • Thank you for your kind words, sir, and I had no idea these existed either. I had Legos and Knex sets but these are pretty cool. My son is 11 as of this past July and I considered the complexity of it before hand. Some things I get him is for ages a little older than him, but I chose to do the opposite here because it did sound complex. Check them out and do research. I hope to get reviews on my page to help not only me but people like you that are interested. They have ones for younger and ones that are 14+ years old. He finally chose to take Engineering and Robotics in school, and he loves the technology so this is really progressing him in those fields. There truthfully is something in him where if he works with his hands, it calms him down like it does me. Plus, the satisfaction of all the work building and programming these to see them actually function without a cord is pretty neat. Please feel free to let us know @ Kevin and Son what your Granddaughter thinks of it if you do make that purchase.

      Thanks,

      Kevin and Son
